Carmen Eiker focuses her practice on all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, visitation, and support, as well as complex property division issues, and both premarital and post marital agreements. She is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both family law and civil trial law. She is also trained in collaborative family law—a voluntary process under the Texas Family Code, which allows participants to resolve their family matters by agreement outside of litigation.

Premarital and post marital agreements have become a particularly strong focus area for Carmen. “These agreements were once looked upon as only for the uberwealthy or for celebrities,” she explains. “But now you’re seeing folks utilizing them more commonly and comfortably, in order to enter into their marriage with a clear understanding of their property to avoid later having that property become an issue.”
