Law Students

Where Your Legal Career Begins

For law students, Carrington Coleman offers a meaningful introduction to the practice of law — grounded in real work, thoughtful mentorship, and a clear view of what it takes to succeed. From the start, you’ll gain exposure to how attorneys translate complex legal issues into actionable guidance on which clients rely.

We also recognize that different perspectives strengthen how we think and work. Students are welcomed into an environment where ideas are encouraged, contributions are valued, and mentorship is intentional.

Summer associates and interns are integrated into the firm from day one, working alongside attorneys on substantive matters and gaining exposure to a range of practice areas. You won’t be on the sidelines — you’ll be part of the team, contributing to work that reflects the pace and expectations of our practice.

Our goal is to provide a realistic, engaging experience that helps you build your skills, expand your perspective, and begin developing as a future advisor. For more information about opportunities available for law students, please contact us at smathews@ccsb.com.

We are no longer accepting applications for our 2027 Summer Associate class. Applications for our 2028 Summer Associate Program will open in Fall 2026 – 1Ls will be eligible to apply for 2L summer associate positions at that time. Please check back for application details. We look forward to hearing from you.

We do high-level legal work, but what stands out is the shared commitment to giving back. Being able to serve the community alongside colleagues creates a real sense of purpose — and a stronger connection to the people you work with every day.

The expectations are high, but so is the respect for your time. There’s a real understanding that you can do great work and still have a life outside the office.
