Josh Sherman

Associate

Good lawyering is about more than just analytical skills and knowledge of the law. I strive to understand my clients’ goals in litigation and represent them accordingly—whether that requires reaching a settlement before a lawsuit is filed, taking a case to trial and exhausting all appeals, or anything else in between.

Josh Sherman represents individuals and businesses in various industries in litigation, arbitration, and investigations. As a litigator, Josh advocates for clients at the trial and appellate levels, on both the plaintiff and defense side, in state and federal court. In his litigation practice, Josh has served as lead counsel, taken depositions, managed discovery, drafted dispositive motions and briefs, and negotiated settlement agreements.

Josh has also helped clients with internal investigations and in investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Department of Justice (DOJ). In his investigations practice, Josh has conducted witness interviews, managed document review and production, and prepared corporate executives for government testimony. Building off his experience with the Innocence Project in law school, Josh has also represented pro bono clients in expunction matters and federal habeas appeals.
