Ted Harrington is an associate at Carrington Coleman and is part of the firm’s Real Estate Group.  He helps clients buy and sell commercial property and performs general corporate work, setting up not for profit corporations and limited liability companies.  He also assists clients with estate planning, including the preparation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for healthcare and property.

Ted graduated cum laude from Carleton College with a B.A. in Political Science, and from the University of Minnesota Law School with a Business Law Concentration. While in law school, he was part of the University of Minnesota’s Business Law Clinic, where he assisted clients in a wide array of transactional matters, including entity formation and reviewing employment agreements.


Advised purchaser throughout the acquisition of a vacant lot, which included construction financing of $13,000,000.

Advised client of transfer-tax implications in assuming a $148,750,000 bridge loan in connection with a $175,000,000 mixed-use commercial property acquisition.

Financed a $3,000,000 loan for a sustainable energy company, including reviewing loan documents and drafting corporate resolutions.

Redrafted an operating agreement and organizational documents to introduce a class of preferred stock as part of a $3,800,000 capital raise.

Form and strategically structure business entities, including not for profit corporations and limited liability companies.
