Chris Anaya Featured as Moderator at ABA Forum on Construction Law 2025 Annual Meeting

Carrington Coleman attorney Christopher Anaya is moderating at the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law 2025 Annual Meeting — “Return of the Contractors: Transforming the Construction Landscape.” Chris will lead the panel “Death by a Thousand Cuts: Contractor and Subcontractor Claims for Professional Negligence,” which explores the contractual and common law foundations for professional negligence claims brought by contractors and subcontractors against design professionals.

Carrington Coleman is pleased to announce that attorney Chris Anaya will serve as a moderator at the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law 2025 Annual Meeting – “Return of the Contractors: Transforming the Construction Landscape.”

Chris will lead the panel “Death by a Thousand Cuts: Contractor and Subcontractor Claims for Professional Negligence.” The discussion will explore the contractual and common law bases for professional negligence claims brought by contractors or subcontractors against design professionals.

The panel will also address critical questions in this evolving area of law, such as:

  • Do such claims require a Certificate of Merit?
  • When might a court find that a fiduciary obligation exists between a design professional and a contractor or subcontractor?
