Overview: In celebration of Dallas Art Fair this week, Firm Art Practice Group Leader Andrea Perez, participated in a panel discussion at Park House last night, focusing on the crucial role of fine art appraisal in insuring artworks, obtaining fiscal benefits, and using art as loan collateral. She and Joe Cuff from Bank of America offered insights into the safeguarding and financial aspects of an art collection. Additionally, Muriel Quancard and Louky Keijsers Koning, certified members of the Appraisers Association of America (AAA), explained the intricate process of art appraisal. The discussion catered to both established collectors and those newly embarking on their art collection journey.

Carrington Coleman Attorneys Present at the Annual Conference of the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials

Firm Partner, Katie Anderson, and Associate Shelby Taylor were “Hoopin’ It up in Housing” at the Annual Conference of the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (TXNAHRO), where they presented this week on the “Top Ten Things You Should Know About Employment Law”. They covered everything from the importance of job descriptions and what DEI programs are lawful to FLSA requirements for documenting overtime and the new laws for pregnant employees.
