Family Law

Whitney Keltch Green is passionate about the practice of family law and helping her clients through crisis. She brings a sense of creativity, compassion, and tenacity to all of her cases. Her areas of concentration include divorce, child custody/support disputes, modification of prior orders, adoptions, premarital agreements, and enforcements.

Whitney is especially passionate about cases involving children with unique issues, such as parental alienation, addiction concerns, grandparents’ rights, special needs children, and situations involving mental health issues. Additionally, she has experience with complex property disputes involving trusts, business interests, mineral rights, company stocks, tracing of separate property, and characterization.

She enjoys the challenge of crafting customized agreements to best serve her clients and taking issues to court when necessary. Whitney informs her clients about the law, analyzes the possible outcomes, and encourages her clients to make informed decisions. She is skilled in guiding her clients through their cases and helping them to attain their goals with unique solutions both inside and outside the courtroom.

Reflecting the excellence of her practice, Whitney has been selected to the Best Lawyers in America in Family Law.  She has been named among D Magazine’s Best Lawyers Under 40 in Dallas, and selected to the list of Texas Rising Stars by Thomson Reuters, honoring the most highly regarded young attorneys in the state. She has also received a 10.0 “Superb” rating by AVVO.com, which is the organization’s highest rank. Whitney was elected by her peers in 2020 and currently serves as the President for the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, which provides significant services and programming for over 3,000 young attorneys.

Representative Experience

  • Extensive First Chair Final Trial experience in matters regarding division of complex marital assets.
  • Significant experience in the representation of corporate executives, attorneys, and other professionals in divorce and child custody matters.
  • First chair final bench trial experience representing parents as well as grandparents in custody disputes.
  • Lead attorney in a variety of complex child custody matters involving issues of alchohol abuse, drug use, mental disorders, grandparent rights, and parental alienation.
  • Creatively settled hundreds of family law issues through the mediation process by crafting custom agreements to meet each family’s needs.
