James Joshua Dossey

I practice law intentionally. While the law is inherently adversarial, I do not believe every case must be approached that way from the get-go. It is absolutely possible, and in fact probable, that a family law case will settle. However, for the cases that do not, I am prepared and willing to see the case through final trial.

Josh Dossey possesses a comprehensive understanding of the legal intricacies surrounding divorce, child custody, spousal maintenance, and property division. Josh believes every case is unique, especially in delicate matters involving family, and he tailors his approach to meet clients’ individual needs. He works tirelessly to ensure that his client’s rights are protected and their voice is heard throughout the legal process. With open communication and a compassionate touch, he guides clients through the legal process with empathy and understanding.

Not only does he excel in family law cases, but he also has a proven track record in appellate legal work. If your case requires higher-level advocacy, Josh has the skills and experience needed to navigate the complexities of appellate court proceedings effectively. His dedication to your case ensures you receive the best possible representation at every stage.

Beyond his legal practice, his commitment to fostering positive change extends beyond the courtroom. Josh actively participates in and supports LGBT advocacy groups and initiatives, including the LGBT Bar Association and LGBT Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
