John Stevenson is a Dallas native and an experienced transactional attorney that practices primarily in the areas of real estate law, banking and finance, and business law.

As part of Carrington Coleman’s Real Estate Practice Group, Mr. Stevenson represents buyers, sellers, developers, institutional investors, and other clients in the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate both locally and nationally, including regional shopping malls and retail pad sites, apartment complexes, mixed-use and multi-family projects, industrial assets, master planned communities, and raw land. Mr. Stevenson’s real estate practice also includes real estate financing and development, commercial lease transactions, land use and condemnation issues, and construction projects.

Additionally, Mr. Stevenson represents major banks and other lenders in various types of commercial credit and lending transactions, including loan workouts, modifications and defaults, and has extensive experience providing business and corporate advise to various clients, including offsite general counsel services, contract drafting and negotiation, asset and stock purchase transactions, and the formation and structuring of entities, investment partnerships and real estate joint ventures.
