“Professionalism starts with knowing the canons of ethics and knowing what they mean.  Respect your adversaries, witnesses, the court, the client.  Always make reasonable efforts to accommodate the other side.  Become friends with your adversaries.  It’s a much better way to operate.  Courts have respect for firms and lawyers who act this way.  Always tell the truth.  Don’t make misrepresentations.  This is all good for the client.   It also makes practicing law better and more fun.”
