Mr. Edel is a partner at Carrington Coleman with almost twenty-five years' experience in civil litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. His trial work includes both plaintiff's and defense verdicts in real estate fraud, land use, and general business litigation. Mr. Edel has also obtained significant commercial arbitration awards for his clients.

Summary judgment based on statute of frauds affirmed on appeal involving alleged $7 million real estate option contract, May 2009.

Two commercial arbitrations involving the interpretation of an $835 million oil and gas company purchase agreement, March and July 2007.

Decision by Appraisal Review Board approving the only ecological lab tax exemption in Dallas County for $12 million real property, November 2006.

Unanimous plaintiff's verdict in Texas state court jury trial over contract interpretation of multi-million dollar oil and gas lease, May 2003.

$1 million plaintiff's verdict in Texas state court jury trial for real estate trespass, November 2002.

$350,000 commercial arbitration award in an American Arbitration Association dispute involving computer software implementation, March 2001.

Unanimous defense verdict in Texas state court jury trial of an alleged $8 million real estate fraud, March 2000.

$250,000 arbitration award in Dallas Bar Association fee dispute on behalf of national law firm, February 2000.

$1 million commercial arbitration award in an American Arbitration Association dispute involving physician compensation, October 1998.
